OSH Innovation & Technology Award and Expo

The OSH Innovation and Technology Award ignites the spirit of innovation among secondary school students and the general public, encouraging them to take on the challenge of enhancing occupational safety and health. Through their ingenious innovation and technology projects to promote safer workplaces and enhance the well-being of our communities. The winning-projects will have the opportunity to be exhibited at the OSH Innovation & Technology Expo.

The OSH Innovation and Technology Expo aims to bring together leading organizations, experts, and innovators in the field of occupational safety and health. It provides a unique platform to showcase groundbreaking solutions, products, and technologies.

2024

The first OSH Innovation and Technology Expo in Hong Kong

The first OSH Innovation & Technology Expo in Hong Kong was jointly organized by OSHC and Labour Department on March 7th to 8th, 2024 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It provided a unique platform to showcase groundbreaking solutions, products, and technologies. We hope that this would inspire new ideas to further elevate the standards of OSH in Hong Kong and the region. The Expo encompassed exhibitions and conferences, and the OSH Innovation & Technology Award presentation ceremony has also taken place on the second day.

Dr David Mong, Chairman of OSHC delivered the welcome speech.

Dr. Toshihiro Fujita, Director of the Institute of Global Safety Promotion (IGSAP) shared Collaborative Safety & Well-being Technology in Japan.

Mr. Hans-Horst Konkolewsky, President of the International Occupational Risk Prevention Foundation, based in Spain, shared Vision Zero for All - Towards a Paradigm Shift in Prevention.

Hon. Mr. KK Chan, GBS, IDSM, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration encouraged students to embrace innovative thinking to solve problems.

The 1st OSH Innovation and Technology Award - Winner List

The "1st OSH Innovation and Technology Award" was successfully held at the Hall 1A, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Award fosters innovative ideas among the secondary school students and public, for the purpose of helping to tackle different occupational safety and health issues to reduce workplace accidents. The award has received nearly 130 project submissions. The winning works were showcased at the Expo and competed for the "Most Popular Innovation Award." Congratulations to the award winners.
